On Friday the 25th of March 2022, after a long interlude the project was able to resume face to face workshop mode and took place at RMIT University. It was entitled “Challenges for the European Union In a Post-Covid World” and was welcomed in an environment when Covid restrictions were slightly relaxed. Covid restrictions had made it impossible to meet earlier.
The event was formally opened by Fedja Zlobec, Counsellor and Deputy Head, Delegation of the European Union to Australia and the workshop took place addressing again many relevant themes for teachers. There was of course an additional issue which interested many of the teachers was the Russian invasion of Ukraine. This was addressed by both the Political Counsellor as well as the sessions throughout the day.
Some 29 attendees from the teachers attended alongside a further 5-6 speakers. We were pleased to see new faces and younger teachers which gave us hope that a new generation of teachers could have access to this program.
